Tokyo American Center Relocation Scheduled for End of January

January 22, 2007

After 30 years at the ABC Kaikan in Shiba-koen, the Tokyo American Center (TAC) will move its programming operations to the NOF Tameike Building in Akasaka. (Details follow below.) This will complete the relocation of TAC, which began in May 2006 with the move of the TAC Reference Service into the chancery of the U.S. Embassy.

After its reopening, TAC will resume its steady pace of programs, hosting conferences and other activities that allow American specialists from a variety of fields to share their expertise and views with Japanese audiences. We look forward to greeting our Japanese partners at future events in our new facility and maintaining TACfs status as a forum for lively and thoughtful exchange on important issues in the U.S.-Japan relationship.
