Date: Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007
Time: 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

In observance of World AIDS Day, the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo invites you to watch a 90-minute live webcast in English discussing successful strategies in the U.S. to raise public awareness of voluntary HIV counseling and testing.

We plan to connect with Atlanta to hear Mr. Frank Oldham, Director of the National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA) discuss the association's highly successful National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) public awareness campaign designed to encourage at-risk individuals to receive voluntary HIV counseling and testing. For the past ten years, NAPWA has worked with community groups and health departments of all sizes to help create NHTD campaigns and events targeting their local communities.

Our program partner is the American Cultural Center of the American Institute in Taiwan in Taipei.
