Aug. 30 - At the invitation of the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare, Ambassador Roos visited My Home Harumi, a nursing home in Chuo Ward, and the National Cancer Center on Aug. 18. The Ambassador enjoyed the opportunity to meet residents and staff at My Home Harumi and to learn about Japan's system for caring for its growing elderly population. At the National Cancer Center, center officials provided a briefing about cancer care and research, and Ambassador Roos toured the endoscopy facility, the Magnetic Resonance Axonography (MRX) operation facility, and the Research Center for Cancer Prevention and Screening.
