President Obama's Trip to Asia
Nov. 12 - On Nov. 5, President Obama departed on a 10-day trip to Asia, beginning in India, with the President moving on to Indonesia, South Korea and Japan. Asia is critical to U.S. foreign policy and includes some of the fastest-growing markets in the world, making it an important element of the President's National Export Initiative - an ambitious goal of doubling America's exports over five years. The trip is largely focused on expanding exports of U.S. goods and bolstering global economic stability through the G-20 and other forums.
