Dec. 2 - In remarks to the press in Washington on Nov. 29, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton addressed recent reports of documents illegally taken from U.S. government computers, stating, "The United States strongly condemns the illegal disclosure of classified information. It puts people's lives in danger, threatens our national security, and undermines our efforts to work with other countries to solve shared problems." The White House Press Secretary emphasized in a Nov. 28 statement, "President Obama supports responsible, accountable, and open government at home and around the world, but this reckless and dangerous action runs counter to that goal."
