"Voices of a New Generation" Event at UNSC

Dec. 3 - As part of the U.S. Presidency of the U.N. Security Council in December, Ambassador Susan Rice has spearheaded an initiative to involve youth in the work of the Council. Until Dec. 14, any person between the ages 13-21 may submit an answer (in a one-minute video or in 250 words or less) to the question: "What is the most vital challenge to international peace and security facing your generation? Tell the U.N. Security Council about something you believe deserves more attention, and explain why it is important." On Dec. 21, Security Council members will debate three submissions in a worldwide broadcast.
