The U.S. Embassy's statement upon the resignation of Foreign Minister Maehara

We have tremendous respect for Foreign Minister Seiji Maehara, and we wish him well. We will continue to work closely with the Government of Japan to strengthen the U.S.-Japan Alliance, and to further our many common interests.
