Ambassador Roos Addresses Japan Leadership Symposium

May 30 - Ambassador Roos delivered closing remarks at the Japan Leadership Symposium to an audience of over 200 American and Japanese business, political and community leaders, policy experts, and academics who are committed to reaffirming the relationship between the two countries.

In his remarks, Ambassador Roos noted: "The strength of the Japanese people sets you apart as a great nation ... and the United States will support you in any way needed."

The event, organized by the U.S.-Japan Council, included keynote speakers U.S. Senator Daniel Inouye (Hawaii), and Japan Foreign Minister Matsumoto, who thanked the United States for its support following March 11.
