July 8 - As the first airline to take delivery of the Boeing Company's groundbreaking 787 Dreamliner passenger plane, All Nippon Airways (ANA) held a media event with Boeing on July 4 at Tokyo's Haneda International Airport to commemorate the 787's arrival into Tokyo for a week of validation activities.

Boeing and ANA invited over 200 officials from the government and industry for this commemorative event. Acting Sr. FAA Representative for Tokyo Mary Walsh and FAA Office staff represented the U.S. Embassy at the function.
