Ambassador Roos to Attend Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony

Ambassador John V. Roos will represent the United States of America at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony on August 6, 2012. Ambassador Roos first attended the ceremony in 2010.

Ambassador Roos commented, "I am honored once again to have the opportunity to represent my country at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony. The relationship between the United States and Japan has never been stronger, and I would like to convey my deep respect to Mayor Kazumi Matsui and to the people of Hiroshima on the occasion of this commemoration."

The United States looks forward to continuing to work with Japan to advance President Obama's goal of realizing a world without nuclear weapons.
