Secretary of State John Kerry and Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel visited Japan Oct. 2-3 for extensive talks with Japanese leaders. They were in Tokyo for the 2+2 U.S.-Japan Security Consultative Committee meeting, which further strengthened the U.S.-Japan alliance, building on our already broad and comprehensive bilateral relationship.
