This week, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visits the United States. On April 28, President Obama welcomed the Prime Minister at an arrival ceremony on the White House South Lawn.

At the same time, Secretary of State John Kerry and Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter were meeting with their Japanese counterparts in New York City. The U.S.-Japan Alliance is fundamental to stability and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.
